General information

In the vastness of the great Sahara, this trip 4×4 invites you to a true initiation of life in the desert, of djebels in dunes, stony desert, oases and palm groves, canyons, caves and authentic nomads. We will travel the caravan tracks that are the culmination of the ancient kingdoms of Morocco for 12 centuries. You will see lots of contrasts and spend a week of discovering off the beaten paths. We will take small walks. In this trip you will be astonished by the beautiful spots in the desert. The landscape is truly beautiful.

Travel period:

October to April is the best time for this trip, otherwise it will be too hot in the desert.

Travel program

Day 1: Arrival Ouarzarzate – transfer to Hotel or Riad

Day 2: Ouarzarzate – Dunes of Merzouga

Day 3: Dunes of Remlia

Day 4: Nkob, village

Day : Valley of the Draa

Day 6:Dunes of Chegaga

Day 7: Ouarzarzate

Day 8: Return flight to Europe

Itinerary detailed

Day 1 Flight to Ouarzarzate

You will be picked up at the airport by our guide he will guide you to your hotel or riad. Overnight: Riad, based on bed and breakfast.

Day 2: Ouarzazate/Erg Chebbi

After breakfast we will take the route Skoura and pass the valley of the dades named Boumalen, l’reg Tinerir, Erfoud and the dunes of Chebbi (Merzouga)). We will have lunch in a small local restaurant or a picnic in nature. Encampment on the eastern side of the dunes of Erg. (6: 30 drive)

Day 3: Erg Chebbi/Remlia/Jbel Zireg

After breakfast, Ouzina rink, the dunes of l’Oued Ziz Remlia and Jebel Zireg. We will set up our encampment in the dunes of Jebel Zireg. (4: 30 drive).

Day 4: Jbel Zireg/Foum Tizza/Village Nkob

After breakfast we will travel to the Slopes of the Oued Bou kechba, the Marabout of Sidi Ali or Salh, the village. Jrane D’Oum and we will discover the cultures of Oued Tarbalt near the pass Foum Tizza. Picnic and lunch on our way,  we will drive in the direction of Tazzarine to visit the village Nkober. There will be an opportunity to visit the village. Overnight at the hotel on bed and breakfast base. (5: 30 drive)

Day 5: Nkob/Draa Valley/Rasse Nkhale

After breakfast we will travel from the village of Nkob to the Draa valley, to the beautiful country of the Kasbah in the South of Morocco. Lunch in Zagora in a small local restaurant. After lunch we will drive to the Palm valley in Mhamid. We will set up our encampment between low dunes.

Day 6: Rasse Nkhale/Dunes Chegaga

From our camp runs a sandy path through a bunch of tamarinds, this path opens into the desert. After breakfast we will pass a beautiful part of Morocco, from Daiet to the dunes of Chegaga. We will have lunch on our way and in the afternoon we will climb up the dunes and enjoy the overwhelming sunset. We will set up our encampment between high dunes.

Day 7: Iriki Chegaga – Lake Iriki – Ouarzazate

After breakfast we will continue our journey to the west and reach the dry lake Iriki direction Foum Zguid, which is a nice small town. We will have a lunch in Foum Zguid and continue towards Tazenakht. We will drive along a beautiful road and return at our starting point, Ouarzazate. We will sleep in a hotel on bed and breakfast base.

Day 8: Airport Ouarzazate

We will accompany you to the airport of  Ouarzazate for your return flight. This concludes your amazing travel adventure in our beautiful country!
